External Billing Compensation Plans
Overview
For the compensation plan for external billing you have 2 choices:
- Default: This uses the commission structure that is setup for the system under Advanced Features. The parent for the product is the same parent that is the parent for the system.
- Custom: This uses it's own commission structure where only people who purchase this product belong to the genealogy. The parent for the produt MAY NOT be the same parent as the parent for the system IF the parent did not purchase the product.
Custom Commission Structure
External billing offers commission passup plans similar to commission tracking passup plans. ONLY members who purchase the product get added to genealogy list and ONLY members who purchase the product can receive commissions.
To assign a compensation plan to a product, go to edit product page and select the desired compensation plan as shown below
REMINDER: If default is selected as commission structure, it will follow the same commission structure in commission tracking tool settings "Settings under Advanced features"
To view the external billing genealogy for the product go to http://YOURDOMAIN.com/admin/productgenealogylist.php?id=PRODUCT-ID
External Billing Commission Tiers
Overview:Tiers control how many people get paid when someone purchases a product. There is no limit to the amount of tiers you can setup in External Billing.
Commissions are not applied automatically when a person purchases a product. Instead the commissions are applied each night in the middle of the night. This gives you a chance to make modifications incase there are duplicate payments, incorrect sponsor, or any other situation where you would like to make an adjustment before the commission is applied. You can force the commission to be applied by visiting the URL below:

Setup Billing Buttons:
Add product fee then click Add button

If you have a Pro system then you will have the ability to setup specific commission tiers for different membership types (By clicking add commission button).
So, for example, in the above image, the tier titled "Tier 1 Commission" has a $5 commission such that anyone that purchases the product whose parent does not belong to the Level 1 membership will earn $5.
However, you could also add commission to say that a specific membership will earn a different amount when their downline purchases this product . So, you can say that if a member belonging to Level 1 membership his child purchase the product, he will earn $2 and his parent will earn $1 and everyone else will earn $5.
Setup Custom Passup Compensation Plan:
You can also setup a custom compensation plan by clicking Add a Pass Up button 
Select Keep or pass up levels in order
so for example to create a 2-up compensation plan
select Keep then click save then pass up then click save
After saving changes compensation plan will look like the image below 
So, for example, in the above image, the parent will get first sale commission and will passup 2nd sale commission to the next qualified parent
