Question   I am interested in the software for self replicating web sites. I would like this to be hosted on my domain. Is this possible and the price for that software.



Answer    You can have your own domain
but for hosting if you already have a dedicated server we can set up the software on it, however, our software requires very specific server configuration.  It is fine to use your existing dedicated server as long as it has to be set up to meet these configuration requirements. There would still be a setup fee to set up your server so it uses our control panel rather than using its own.  For example, if your server uses CPanel or Plesk this will need to be removed as our control panel conflicts with it.

Why Can't We Use CPanel, Plesk, etc., But Must Use Your Control Panel Instead? Our software includes features such as the ability for each member to have their own email, for members to import and host their domains, and for members to use subdomains (exa: username.yoursite.com).  These features require the software to use our custom control panel to manage apache, bind, postfix, dovecat, and other software on the server that is traditionally managed by software such as CPanel.

Q. Do you offer your script where I can Install it in my own server?

A. Yes, you can host on your own server, but the server would need to be installed by us.  Our software has specific requirements for everything to work properly and we would need to install the server.  We charge $235 for this.  Once installed, you would still pay the monthly fees, same as if you were hosting on our server (but without some fees like email overage fees).  The server would be in your name, and when purchasing it, it should be a CentOS server without CPanel or any other WHM/Plesk type of software on it.

Q. Is your Basic software self-hosted or do we have to host it with you? Would you install it on our hosting account? And how much?

A. We host it for you.  There is a file manager where you can access things to make updates.  Hosting is $25/mo plus it's $0.01/mo for each free member or $0.10/mo for paid members.

We do offer an option to use your own dedicated server.  However, we need to install the server which costs $235 to install it, plus the monthly fees are the same.  If you are interested in this option let us know and we'll send more details.

Q. I am currently using Godaddy could your product be installed and run successfully from that site?

A. If it is a dedicated server that you have with GoDaddy that uses CentOS Linux and we are the ones that setup the server, then yes, you can use them without any issues (we have other clients using dedicated servers with GoDaddy).  Otherwise it is best if you host with us.  Our monthly membership fees are nearly the same whether you host on your own dedicated server or on one of our shared servers.

Q. Where can I change the Members Spotlight?

A. Go to Advanced Features.

From there it is about half way down under the section "Member Spotlight".

When turned on you have the option to select the member and enter a description.  The member's name, profile image, and description will appear on members area home page (/admin) for all of the members.  If it does not appear then the code ~memberspotlight~ needs to be added into the html template file for the page located at /adminpages/index.html
