A capture page systems can be setup to allow members to use nearly any 3rd party autoresponder instead of using the autoresponder which comes with the email marketing tool.
What is a 3rd Party Autoresponder
A 3rd party autoresponder is a separate site which offers autoresponder (email marketing) and contact management services. Examples of 3rd party autoresponders include Aweber, GetResponse, iContact, and Constant Contact. There are many more autorespoonders on the market.
How 3rd Party Autoresponders Work
Whether or not a member has the option to use 3rd party autoresponders, as well as which specific 3rd party autoresponders they can use, is at the admin's discretion.
If a member uses a 3rd party autoresponder then the default setting is contacts collected will NOT be added to their contacts in the members area. Contacts will go into the member's 3rd party autoresponder account instead. You can change this setting to have it added in both places.
3rd party autoresponders can be turned on and off by the admin
If members can edit a capture page, then members are also able to specify a unique 3rd party autoresponder for that specific page, allowing them to use different 3rd party autoresponders for different capture pages.
